    Verdict

Salayel went close over 7f at Newmarket on her debut for Roger Varian and first start since March. She finished in front of the returning Chaleur, who is fancied to finish closer on this occasion, but NKOSIKAZI may just edge this. The Haggas filly finished clear of the rest when beaten only a neck over today’s trip at Newmarket last time and further progress is expected today representing last year’s winning yard. Hateya is 6lb higher than when runner-up in this last season but Layaleena will find this easier than the Sandringham at Ascot last time having won nicely at Nottingham earlier. Savaanah and Dance Diva are others dropping down in class today but the progressive pair Warning Fire and Al Messila face tougher tasks as they bid for hat-tricks and Clara Peeters is preferred on the back of winning at Newmarket.
