    Verdict

Boom The Groom won this in 2016 but was a well beaten third last year with Poyle Vinnie, A Momentofmadness, Duke Of Firenze and Dark Shot all further behind. The latter arrives in the best form of that group with a recent second in Listed company at York while Green Power is back on a winning mark and Lord Riddiford won off a similar mark at last year’s fixture. Count Otto and Maygold landed lower grade sprints at Epsom and Salisbury respectively on their latest starts but a chance is taken on MUTHMIR returning to winning ways. He’s slipped down the weights since landing a Listed race at Haydock last summer but a repeat of his fifth in the Epsom Dash last month, when beaten only a length, would be good enough to see the Haggas sprinter bang there at the finish.
