Verdict

There's little to choose between this field on the figures and an enticing race is in prospect. Infallible is sure to be popular, Arabian Gleam and Al Qasi should go well back at seven but this can go the way of the locally trained KING OF DIXIE. William Knight's exciting colt has proved fractious at the start on occasion but appears to be becoming calmer with experience. He's also progressing rapidly with experience and ran the race of his career when beaten a short head by Racer Forever at Newmarket last time. This is a stronger race but we believe that he can make the strides necessary to land the spoils. Neither Arabian Gleam nor Al Qasi have given the impression of being natural milers but both are useful at this trip and the former wasn't beaten far in this race last year on just his fourth start but his penalty makes life just that little bit harder. Dunelight should go well but may find a couple too good whilst Infallible is going to need some rain if she's to make the most of the drop in grade having lost out to Nahoodh last time. She did run well on fast ground in the Guineas and will benefit from the return to seven but connections have voiced concerns about her on fast ground in the past and she can be taken on with that in mind. Il Warrd needs to learn to settle better but did finish in front of Stimulation last time and both should be in the mix here, as should Paco Boy who has been off since a highly creditable performance in the French Guineas; he'll love this ground and shouldn't be underestimated. None then that can be ruled out with any confidence but this should be run at a good clip which can play into the hands of King Of Dixie.
