Rioca, beaten in a nursery off 81, then finished runner-up in a Newmarket Listed contest and has gone up 12lb which appears harsh and she hasn't run since October. SHAAN stepped up to this trip for the first time at Newmarket and made all on the fast ground. This is a front-runners track and a 4lb rise doesn't look insurmountable. Intimation has been beaten in two tough handicaps from today's mark while Miss Van Gogh was beaten by Sagaciously at Doncaster in May and is 2lb worse off with the winner, who has been running in Listed company. Motdaw's two victories have come on ground with plenty of give so she could do with some rain.
