Bithynia, a half-sister to seven winners, started a short priced favourite on her debut at Sandown and led for a long way before fading close home. Bouquet De Flores was also strongly supported at Newmarket earlier this month but missed the break and had nothing left when making her challenge over 1f out. Limelite looked a certain future winner after a very encouraging debut here and there was obviously something amiss at Lingfield later as she finished tailed off while Perfect Angel made a bright start at Newbury though that didn't look a particularly strong maiden. Sky Ballerina and THE LACEMAKER are once-raced fillies who showed plenty of promise and the latter caught the eye enough at Newmarket to be handed a speculative vote in a tricky contest.
