Sir Mark Prescott is a past master at handling late maturing types and Affaire d'Amour looks a typically progressive stayer from his Heath House stables. The three-year-old showed little in maidens as a juvenile but has improved for a trip this term and was completing a hat-trick when making most over an extended two miles at Folkestone last month. The lightly raced daughter of Hernando won with something in hand and should be able to offset a 5lb rise against some exposed rivals. Look First did well to win last time at Kempton having encountered traffic problems in the closing stages and should go well off a 4lb higher mark but lacks the selection¿s scope for further improvement while Hawkwind needs to show more having landed a weak Carlisle maiden last time. Alrida was just touched off at Thirsk last time and should confirm the placings with third-placed Yertle on the revised terms but may have to settle for a place on this occasion.
