Aphrodisia, Megalala and Gracechurch are the three that catch the eye in an open handicap, with preference for last time out winner Aphrodisia. Three time winner Megalala was a distant second to Aphrodisia last time, and has gone down a pound in the ratings. He is thoroughly consistent but it is hard to see him turning the tables on that decisive winner even on these revised terms. Gracechurch won over hurdles this winter at Folkestone but it is over two years since he won on the Flat. He was a disappointing favourite last time, also behind Aphrodisia, but that came after a good effort previously and he looks nicely treated just now. Having floundered on soft ground at Folkestone on her re-appearance, Aphrodisia left that form well behind when coming right away from her field at Brighton, on a sound surface. Having previously run principally on the all-weather, she seemed to find significant improvement. The maner of that success was impressive, and off only a six pound higher mark here, can confirm the form. Aphrodisia can lead them home.
