The presence of three Derby entries and an Oaks entry in this line-up suggest that this could be a warm heat and one to watch with interest. Savarain gets the tentative vote from Manyriverstocross. Luca Cumani's colt went into many a notebook following his debut run behind leading Epsom contender Twice Over last season and has arguably been a shade disappointing since. He shaped better than the bare facts suggests on his reappearance though and the form certainly looks rock solid. He looked in need of the outing that day and is given another chance. Manyriverstocross went close at Newbury and the winner is due to line up in a handicap at Chester on Wednesday from a mark of 90. A good performance from that one would boost his form credentials and he should go well if handling this faster ground. Sortita is an expensive daughter of star German stallion Monsun and she looks to have a bright future judged by her run in a backend maiden. Her entries certainly suggest that connections have high hopes for her but Savarain may be her master today.
