It's no easy job to sort out this field of lightly raced individuals and the selection of Kelowna can only be nominal. French Art and Crown Choice should be leading players. John Gosden won this with a decent sort last year and it will be interesting to see if there's any confidence behind the chances of Mohathab who shaped quite well in a maiden in which French Art returned a beaten favourite having raced too keenly. Crown Choice has a Group 1 entry and connections clearly expect him to leave the form of his debut a long way behind in due course. He made a satisfactory debut at Newmarket and will have to win this or go very close to justify his lofty engagements. Schopenhauer has a Derby entry and is one to watch with an eye to the future whilst Resurge, Red Icon and Military Power are just three other names to throw into the ring. The selection doesn't have any fancy entries but she shaped quite well on debut, is well drawn and certainly looks the part on paper. She wouldn't want to start as slowly as she did on debut at Newmarket but she should be all the better for that initial experience and Kelowna may be able to take this at a rewarding price.
