In depth

Verdict

SIKEEB is the tentative nominee having the best form on offer but there are a host of interesting newcomers including Dr Green, Pasquino and Signs In The Sand to name but three. Clive Brittain is brimming with confidence in his juvenile crop this season and Sikeeb, who steps up a furlong from his debut where he showed plenty of promise to chase home a stablemate of Dr Green, may be able to take this as his form received a boost when the only horse from the race to have run since won well. Richard Hannon will clearly have a decent line on the form so support for Dr Green would look significant whilst Pasquino and Signs In The Sand are both first foals of smart dams and represent top connections. Watered Silk is also beautifully bred as his unraced dam is a half-sister to Seta and Armure and is from the family of Barathea and Gossamer so is a fascinating runner whilst Angle Knight can be expected to improve significantly from his debut but Sikeeb gets the nod.
