SOLDIER IN ACTION has had 11 unsuccessful runs since scoring over this trip at Kempton in November but has dropped to a winnable mark as a consequence. He's won over slightly shorter around here while his stable companion Austrian School was having his first start over the trip when just failing to concede Timoshenko 22lb at Musselburgh. Both look certain to get into the action and may have too much staying power for Stanley, a winner over 1m6f but yet to prove he stays this far. Marcus Tregoning tries Imphal in a visor but the four-year-old has struggled from his revised mark after completing a four-timer last summer.
