        Verdict

        ZOFFANY BAY landed a Brighton handicap over 1m4f by seven lengths and only just failed to carry his penalty to victory over 1m2f on soft ground at Lingfield. The remainder were well beaten off in that latter event so he can get back to winning ways. Lyricra's Lion battled to narrow victories at Brighton and Sandown and was having his first start for Sheena West when just failing to make all at Newmarket. He's up 4lb but looks certain to give a good account. Esprit De Baileys had been racing in France before landing a touch on his debut for Amy Murphy over this trip at Yarmouth then failed to stay 2m at Chelmsford but Against The Odds has been running moderately despite dropping 10lb in the ratings since the start of the season.
