ROXY FLYER is marginally preferred to Eltheeb and Knockdolian. The locally trained Roxy Flyer didn't show a great deal in two starts last season but she appreciated the step up in trip when shaping with considerable promise in a ten furlong maiden at Salisbury when chasing home Shimmering Moment. The winner went on to finish second from a mark of 81 and the fourth finished second to a hotpot off 65 and can be rated a good bit higher as a result. Roxy Flyer's mark of 74 looks about right as a result but she's open to more improvement and a little progress could be enough to see her land the spoils. Eltheeb won over ten furlongs here last time and could be hard to keep out of the frame whilst Banana Republic probably faces an easier task than he did in the Newbury maiden won by Moose Moran. Hill Tribe and Knockdolian both look certain to benefit from this stiffer test with the latter of particular interest on his run behind Gardening Leave last season whilst Cornish Beau also deserves consideration but Roxy Flyer gets the nod.
