The step up to a mile could be the making of ATLANTIC SPORT and in a tough race he gets the nod ahead of Alexandros and River Proud. One could add Stubbs Art to that list however David Elsworth's colt is probably flattered by his mark as he may well have been flattered by the proximity of his finishes behind Henrythenavigator in the Irish and English Guineas. Instead we side with Atlantic Sport who represents Mick Channon who is having a decent Goodwood. His charge travelled well last time over seven furlongs but found little and was beaten by Easy Target. There will be no easy targets here but his breeding suggests that this mile should suit and he gets the nod. Duntulm has looked a very progressive handicapper this season; he gets this mile trip well and deserves a crack at Listed company. Perfect Stride impressed when winning a week ago at Ascot and can be counted as a major player, as can River Proud who drops in class this afternoon. Alexandros hasn't reproduced his two-year-old form from France since joining Godolphin and the stable are in the doldrums, whilst Alfathaa doesn't look one for the mortgage.
