In an open finale, DINGAAN is the selection to get the better of Visions of Johanna and Kaleo. The last named has been keeping good company in lucrative handicaps without success this season, but he showed improved form to finish second in a conditions contest last time. The winner has let the form down since however and he is taken on. Visions of Johanna hails from a yard in form and has surprisingly been dropped three pounds since finishing a close second at Haydock. A winner of a maiden at Sandown last year, he is thoroughly consistent and looks sure to go close. Dingaan ran a stormer to be a close second in a very hot handicap at Newmarket's July meeting, a race which has produced a string of winners. He has landed a Bath handicap subsequently, and only four pounds higher here, Dingaan looks capable of following up.
