This is a wide open bumper to close the card and from a shortlist of SMUGLIN, Kerada and Leader Blue we will side with Smuglin. The selection hails from the Paul Nicholls yard and she is making her seasonal return today. She won a bumper at Worcester back in May when she beat Northern Lad and she should be up to winning this before she goes hurdling. She is versatile with regards to the ground and she does go well fresh so she makes plenty of appeal. Kerada is an interesting newcomer from the Nicky Henderson yard and anything he sends to post in bumpers has to be considered. The yard are in fantastic form at present and if the market speaks strongly in her favour then it could pay to take the hint. Leader Blue has not been seen out since February when she finished in mid-division in a bumper at Kelso. She tackles quicker ground for the first time here but if she can find a bit of improvement then she should be capable of getting competitive. Nick Mitchell's Society Night could prove best of the others as she is related to a bumper winner. However, Smuglin looks a safer bet and she is taken to score. (Tim Thornton)
