    Verdict

Disappointingly just the seven runners line up for this beginners' chase which looks little more than a match between KATESS and Aimigayle, with the former getting the verdict. Alan King's mare showed a decent level of form in bumpers prior to an encouraging start to her career over hurdles last term. Always likely to do better once put over the larger obstacles, the daughter of Spectrum is taken to confirm that belief here. Brendan Powell's Owlesbury Dream has been going the right way over timber but needs to improve for going over fences to trouble the selection, assuming that she can translate hurdles form to chasing. She's Humble has the benefit of chasing experience but is seemingly nothing out of the ordinary and of more interest may be Suzy Smith's Aimigayle. The daughter of Midnight Legend is rated very similarly to Katess on hurdles form and is race fit so she has to be considered but Alan King's mare has always looked a chaser and is taken to make a winning start to her new career.
