It's BOYSTEROUS that gets the vote in this very poor looking contest ahead of Lucozade and Tuatara Bay. Richard Ford's eight-year-old was fourth of fifteen last time out in similar company at Southwell about a month ago. On that occasion the usual cheek pieces were left off but with no real improvement in his performance expect them to be reapplied. It will be interesting to see how he acts on this going, which he tackles for the first time, but this ultra consistent performer tends to get round and only a slight improvement from his last outing should see him break the maiden. Sue Smith's Lucozade returned from 18 months away from the track to register third place here last time out with the absence ultimately defeating him. With that blow out under his belt and the fact this represents a slight step down in class he should feature again. Tuatara Bay for Richard Fahey has been tumbling down the weights and is now off a lower mark than when he won a Sedgefield contest of a similar standard. That victory may have flattered to deceive as since then only disappointment has followed including being pulled up on his last two attempts. He steps back down in trip from the latest aberrations and because of his more competitive mark this time he should be considered. Gunadoir and Tastes Like More make there seasonal reappearances after mixed and short campaigns last term. The latter returned to hurdles after failing at his attempt over the bigger obstacles and registered a placing at Hereford before pulling up on his last run. Gunadoir on the other hand had three outings last season and managed a fourth out of eight runners at Ayr in similar ground conditions over a longer trip so stamina is no concern -talent might be though in facing our selection Boysterous.
