Verdict
Tim Vaughan has done well with runners that come from other yards and One of The Boys, who was with Paul Webber when successful at Plumpton when last seen in April, has to be strongly considered but a 7lb rise for that latest effort looks harsh and it may be worth siding with HIMBA, with Croon looking the pick of the remainder. The selection was well held when last seen at Towcester in May but Nick Gifford's runners are coming into form so lack of a recent run need not be of great concern and he is at his best with cut in the ground so conditions look ideal underfoot. Edgar Byrne's Rince Donn is proving to be hard to win with and looks booked for a place at best with a bigger threat likely to come from Brendan Powell's Abutilon, who is better than he showed at Market Rasen last time. Wondersobright is 3lbs lower than when winning over hurdles at Plumpton in March but he is much better over timber and of more interest may be Andrew Turnell's Croon, who ran well when a close third behind Bennynthejets at Towcester last month. He has every chance of going two better today but preference is for Himba, who has ground to suit and that may make all the difference.
