Neil Mulholland's Play A Cord got up close home when successful at Cartmel last month and has claims of following up but a 7lb penalty for that success makes that difficult and a better bet looks to be Graeme McPherson's lightly raced A DREAM COME TRUE, who can take advantage of what seems a lenient mark for her debut in a handicap having been running well in novice events of late. Mark Rimell's Vin Rose has a nice racing weight but is hard to recommend on recent form, while Romney Marsh has a long absence to overcome and has paid the penalty for her win at Plumpton in February. Alison Thorpe's Can't Remember won well enough at Perth in July and has claims on form shown that day but she disappointed at Worcester subsequently and now looks best watched.
