In depth

Verdict

Tim Vaughan's Gift Of The Gods made a pleasing return to chasing when chasing home Ihaventabob at Cartmel and she has every chance racing off the same mark today but a better bet looks to be BEHIND THE SCENES, who gets the vote. The selection found just one too good in each of his first two outings this term since joining Tim McCarthy from Ireland prior to looking all over the winner before falling three out at Stratford on his latest start in July and he can gain compensation for that here. Winning Show ran well over shorter here last time but is not certain to get the trip today and a bigger threat may come from Moon Melody, who is well treated on hurdles form.
