A very competitive contest for the track and DUSTER is taken to repeat his recent course and distance success at the main expense of Glen Shiel, Earlsmedic and Cornus. The Hughie Morrison-trained selection was able to improve upon a decent Lingfield reappearance run to defy a 4lb higher mark in comfortable fashion here last time. Trip and ground are ideal for the gelding, who won with a fair bit in hand and looks capable of defying another 7lb hike. Glen Shiel is another relatively unexposed performer who was hindered by the draw at Kempton last time and had previously looked useful when scoring at Ayr. He should be able to show his true colours this time and is a threat. Stuart Williams saddles Earlsmedic, who is very well handicapped on form of not so long ago and will appreciate conditions, so if there is money for him we must take note. Cornus carries a 6lb penalty for winning at Thirsk, where he grabbed the race by the scruff of the neck, and if able to dominate then he could go close. If they turn up after entries at Warwick on Thursday then both Beat The Bell and Alfresco have to be considered, but Duster can clean up.
