Verdict

He may be an obvious choice but we hope that ABBONDANZA is again the right one to be with in this claimer, while Piazza San Pietro and Little Edward can give him some work to do. The selection chases a five-timer today and has conditions and trip to suit. His latest win was in spite of not being best off at the weights, and he has a bit to find with one or two here compared to if this were a handicap, but he is worth the vote. Piazza San Pietro has landed a handicap and a claimer this month before being beaten back in a handicap at Brighton last time. Trip and going suit and he is much respected. Little Edward goes well over both the minimum trip and today's 6f, and the old boy loves fast ground and will be better suited back in this grade. Cut The Cackle is well weighted and will find this easier than recent handicaps she has contested but preference is for Abbondanza.
