Verdict

In another relatively modest event, the vote goes to Spanish Music ahead of Cape Unknown and Burhaan. Spanish Music's second to the tough Pivotal's Princess has since been boosted by that filly subsequently winning a handicap off 71 (and she will also by now have run at Newcastle on Thursday). As such, she rates more than just a solid mention in this maiden event. Cape Unknown's form, including when fourth to Wrighty Almighty at Doncaster last time, rates solidly in the mid-60s, so we expect him to go well, as might John Gosden's Burhaan, who showed a bit more when dropped to the minimum trip last time, although he does not look anything out of the ordinary. Millinsky has shown some form but, all things being equal, it needs to be built upon for him to play a dominant part in this race. Overall, then, it is hard to escape the claims of Spanish Music, who gets the call.
