Dark Parade is a confident selection in the closing apprentice-handicap with Jolizero and Lady Pilot also worth noting. The Gary-Moore trained gelding will come here fit having had a moderate hurdling-campaign. Prior to this he had ran well on the all-weather last year notching up back-to-back wins in handicap and banded races. He comes here fit and on a mark he has won off before and looks sure to run a big race for an in-form yard. Lady Pilot had proved difficult to win with before scoring over two miles at Wolverhampton last month. However, the four-year-old filly looks vulnerable back at this trip and off this mark. Jolizero could give our selection the most to do. He has been off the racecourse since winning a heavy ground Newbury maiden in October 2004. The John Berry-trained gelding beat Nietzsche that day and clearly has bags of stamina. If he comes here fit he can run a big race for his new stable but we will stick with Dark Parade.
