In the opener, Lady Deauville is selected ahead of Presbyterian Nun and Darley Star. Lady Deauville has been highly tried so far and not been disgraced in Group and Listed company in her last two starts. This represents a drop in grade and she ought to be competitive today. Presbyterian Nun's second at Newmarket to the subsequent Group winner Sense Of Joy gets her a good mention, while Darley Star showed promise on her Doncaster debut and ought to be able to step up on that. Jazz Jam's two runs so far have suggested ability and the step up in trip today should help further, while the William Haggas-trained Siren Call is quite well bred so the market should be watched on her debut. Others worth a mention are Peter Winkworth's 24,000 guineas son of Mujahid, Amie Magnificent, and the Roger Charlton-trained newcomer Horticulture but, for the selection, we will stick with Lady Deauville.
