Magical Speedfit gets the nod ahead of Wild Bill Tracey, and the Channon pair Artistic License and Lady Of Passion. Magical Speedfit has taken on much better company than this, including when down the field in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot. He is still a maiden, but having been tried over six-furlongs at Windsor last time, he drops back to the minimum here, and should put matters right. Wild Bill Tracey is going the right way, and indeed showed plenty of speed at Sandown. He will be interesting if put into nurseries, while Mick Channon has two challengers, with sprint-bred Artistic License earning favourable reviews from the gallops. Stablemate Lady Of Passion was tailed off here last time and needs to improve markedly, and of the rest, any support for Cherished Song should be noted. On form though, Magical Speedfit looks very much the one to beat.
