Verdict
Sunlight gets the vote over Free Offer, Miss Marvellous and Samdaniya. A change of tactics at Haydock last time saw Sunlight get back to winning ways under Neil Callan. Normally ridden from the front, she was was held up this time, and came late on the scene to score narrowly from Snaafi. Philip Robinson is back on board today, and it will be interesting to see what tactics he employs, but from front or back, she looks the one to beat. Free Offer had to be ridden vigorously to beat Candy Mountain at Newbury, but John Dunlop's inmates generally keep their form once brought to the boil, and she looks the main danger. Miss Marvellous floundered in the soft ground at Bath, and will at least be suited by the better ground, while Samdaniya made all here last time but has more to do. Sunlight can shine again.
