It may be worth taking a chance with PASS THE PORT given that there are slight questions over Moonbeam Dancer, Lady Eclair and to a lesser extent Benozzo Gozzoli. Pass The Port was beaten out of sight over 12 furlongs on his return to action but that saw his mark decline by a further 5lbs which will help as will the drying ground. He seems better over a trip these days so this stiffer test is also expected to suit and it may help to show him in a better light. Benozzo Gozzoli looked likely to collect here last time only to lose out close home and he'll be fancied to make amends this time around although it'll be worth keeping an eye on the ground given that connections reported he was unsuited by conditions last time. Lady Eclair ran no race at Yarmouth but has claims if bouncing back whilst Moonbeam Dancer is open to improvement on turf and may yet prove effective on the surface. Little Sark and Stage Acclaim are worthy of mention too.
