In depth

Verdict

MAGGIO did enough for previous connections to think that he can win this if able to run to the same level for his new connections; Pyracantha and Favours Brave are amongst those feared. Maggio was a little disappointing when last seen in action in February but that was in a Listed contest and was still not a bad run in the context of this race; the form of his previous two starts where he chased home Tito Bustillo and was in the process of doing the same to Wishfull Thinking when falling give him leading claims. Pyracantha is progressing well over hurdles and did well under a penalty last time following his win at Kelso; he appears to be versatile with regard to underfoot conditions and should go well. Favours Brave ran his best race to date at Market Rasen last time where Earl Grez was a long way behind and he has live claims if he can build on that performance.
