Bird For Life has some of the best form on offer but all on artificial surfaces where he is rated no less than 15lb higher than on Turf. He has yet to win on the grass so is passed over. Having not beaten a rival in his two previous starts - last of seven and ten respectively - TIGERSKIN (NAP) ran his rivals ragged at this venue this month when dotting up by 8l. He's inevitably been given a mighty slap on the wrists by the handicapper to the tune of a 10lb rise but will prove very hard to beat if in the same form as it appears that a gelding operation has worked the oracle. Born Leader, Purple Jazz and Antidote have reasonable place claims.
