MANDARIN has proved most progressive for Ian Williams this term and improvement was far from stalling the last day when a late swoop took him within half a length of Indianapolis in a Shergar Cup handicap. The pair are weighted to finish as one but the feeling persists that the selection could be well suited to York and he's just preferred. Indianapolis, raised 3lb for that victory, remains of real interest as does Genetics who split the pair at Ascot. Jazeel has enjoyed a good season without always seeming to get the rub of the green but gets on really well with Spencer and should be in the shake-up once again. Corelli, Eynhallow and Caradoc are just a handful of others with chances in a very open race.
