Battaash is a tremendous sight in full flow but has been beaten in the last two renewals of this top-class sprint. He's sure to go well but TEN SOVEREIGNS (NAP) was most impressive returned to sprinting in the July Cup and there's no obvious reason why he should not prove equally effective over the minimum trip in view of the pace displayed at Newmarket. He's had a light season and can follow up now. Mabs Cross, the standard bearer for the north here, was only beaten by the minimum distance in this last year and seems sure to be in the mix again, whilst Fairyland, somewhat gone under the radar for Ballydoyle this term, could prove an interesting each-way option.
