GONE TO LUNCH is our selection here, from a shortlist which also includes Overclear and Exmoor Ranger. Tony McCoy's first ride of the afternoon has only finished outside the frame once in 9 runs over hurdles, and was only narrowly beaten last time out in a much better contest than this at Aintree. The ground may be a slight concern, as his four timer of last year was achieved in faster conditions. He can be a little quirky, but should still be too good here. Overclear won first time out over hurdles but has been unable to follow up that success, but was racing off an ungenerous mark. Exmoor Ranger also tackles this trip for the first time, and a patient ride's expected. The ground shouldn't be a problem having won twice in soft conditions, and a near 6 month lay off should see him fresh and ready to go. Kornati Kid will have supporters too, but our pick is Gone To Lunch.
