An open looking race, which we think could go the way of HARRIS BAY who is selected ahead of Flemish Invader and Party Palace. Henrietta Knight's 9 year old was pulled up in his last three outings, but should be fresh enough to recapture past glories having been off the track for nearly 6 months. He's joint top weight, but there shouldn't be concerns over the going, with a number of his career victories coming up with some cut in the ground. He's one of only two runners to have won at this trip. Flemish Invader has 5 pounds in hand, but is looking for a double having won last time out at Perth over slightly further last month. He was among the top weights that day, and again, there shouldn't be any worries over the conditions. Party Palace also won last out time, albeit over a shorter trip. Expect her to be at the vanguard from early on, on a course where front runners can get a good advantage. It looks a competitive start to proceedings, but we'll side with Harris Bay.
