Godolphin's older horses look to have hit form and Sights On Gold can make a successful drop in grade to beat Alphecca. Saeed Bin Suroor hoovered up the big prizes on Saturday night's card at Windsor and Sights of Gold, who finished second in the Scottish Derby last term, looks to have all the right ticks in the boxes. The long absence has to be a worry but the way that he won the Brigadier Gerard Stakes last term suggested that he was very much going the right way. Alphecca is not there to make up the numbers and while on the evidence of the book, he has a bit to find, there is more to come. Battle Chant's yard are in form but invariably he is found wanting in top company. Famous Grouse has shown little since a spell over timber while Island House looks to be on the downgrade these days. Crystal Curling has been highly tried in the past and gets all the allowances. Sights of Gold gets the nod.
