In depth

Verdict

Although raised another 6lbs for his most recent success at Brighton the Dominic Ffrench Davis-trained Majic holds solid claims of completing a quick hat-trick in this big-field handicap, especially with a draw in stall five to help. The one negative for the son of Pivotal is the going as all of his best form is with a bit of cut in the ground. At the top of the handicap Blue Knight and Octennial would prefer a stall's position nearer to the rail and a bigger danger to the likely favourite could be Ian Balding's Voice Mail, who is on a fair mark, is well berthed in stall four and has the assistance of Pat Eddery.
