A tough-looking opener with no fewer than 22 apprentice ridden sprinters lining up over the minimum trip. With the David Nicholls team in such good form at present, in particular the yard's sprint handicappers, American Cousin and Double Oscar have to be respected. Topweight Kissing Time has won two out his last three starts and should be thereabouts again if in the same mood, with conditions to suit. The in form Be My Tinker is another with claims, especially from what looks to be a favourable draw in stall 21, while Knockemback Nellie may fair best of Milton Bradley's quartet.
