Verdict

Locombe Hill, a winner here over seven furlongs last week, bids to follow up under a 7lb penalty over one furlong extra. David Nicholls has his team in great form at present, and his style of running suggests the longer trip should not be a problem, but the gelding's best form is all at shorter. Paul Howling's Topton has been placed in his last two starts, both over this distance, and off the same mark again should be thereabouts as should Free Option, for who Johnny Murtagh is an eye-catching booking. Harmony Hall could be interesting after a couple of runs to put him right.
