RUGELL is our selection ahead of Fairmile. The selection is one of the battalion of Argentinian horses that have recently arrived at the yard of Henry Cecil. A winner of a Group 2 at San Isidro; he clearly is not short of ability and obviously handles rattling fast ground should that obtain. Fairmile ran a career best in the Huxley Stakes at Chester. A small field might not play to his need for a strong gallop. Kaleo won over a mile at Bremen in Germany on soft going but has shown nothing since joining Simon Dow. Play Up Pompey should be sensationally outclassed at these terms. It will be interesting to see how Rugell copes with racing in Britain ahead of presumably bigger targets later in the season.
