CUTHBERT is our call with Radio City and Cool Valentine others to catch the eye. The William Jarvis colt was easy to back on debut at Brighton but ran far better than his finishing position suggests as the penny didn't metaphorically drop until late on in the race. It is of slight concern that the second in that contest has ran moderately since but that could mean that we'll get a far better price come post time. Radio City was the most expensive of these at the sales. A fair fourth at Kempton on introduction, he showed plenty of pace at Salisbury before flattening out close home. Cool Valentine is a half-brother to Dark Prospect. That was a fair effort on debut at Lingfield but we will chance that he will be a better horse next season. Super Duplex had a bad draw at Goodwood so had to use plenty of petrol to get an early position. He should not be dismissed too readily here. Silver Grey plugged on well to finish second in a moderate Chepstow event and should appreciate the step up to six. Boogie Waltzer is bred to need further whilst Barastar has shown little thus far. Cuthbert can confirm early promise.
