An open-looking finale can go the way of Rising Shadow over Fantaisiste, Idle Power, Prince Namid and Bahamian Pirate. This is a hard getting-out stakes for punters, but Rising Shadow at least hails from an in-form stable and has been knocking on the door recently. The five-year-old found only Borderlescott too strong at York the time before last and then chased home Commando Scott at Ayr. He now meets that rival on much better terms and is taken to turn the tables en-route to gaining a deserved victory. Fantaisiste is blooming since coming into foal to Cadeaux Genereux, gaining the second of her two Kempton Polytrack victories at the end of April. She had Idle Power and Beaver Patrol behind then, and although the latter has let the form down since, it would be folly to rule out Paul Cole's filly. Prince Namid won well enough at Haydock, but conditions were testing that day, and he may be taken off his feet here, while it is impossible to gauge which of Dandy Nicholls's quintet is the best, so the market may be a prudent guide, with our nominal guess being Bahamian Pirate. Rising Shadow is on the upgrade at present though, and should be in at the finish.
