A race like this should be well within the capabilities of Lindenburgh Way and he is selected ahead of Speedy Sam and Plush, who can be expected to fight out the finish as the best of the rest. Plush is no stable star at Sir Mark Prescott's and needs to improve on what he has shown to date. However, this is a weak race and he could easily pick up some prize-money before going into handicaps on a lenient afterwards. Speedy Sam is from a yard that have been flying in the last three weeks and has to merit a second look in this company. His form compares well with that of the selection and the son of Medicean is fancied to pose the most problems along the way. However, Lindenburgh Way has already shown enough to suggest that he can win a race in due course and, if he runs to the level of his latest effort at Newbury, he will be very hard to beat today.
