The Saeed Bin Suroor-trained Crimson Sun is almost too obvious a selection but the Danzig colt made such a pleasing debut that he is expected to brush aside the challenges presented by Adoration and Safendonseabiscuit, who make the most appeal out of those with experience today. However, moves for either Country Rambler and Mighty Empire will make for an intriguing set-to and the betting market will give a good guide to the confidence behind the newcomers. Even so, Crimson Sun sets a fair standard for them to aim for and it will be a minor shock if the Godolphin-owned two-year-old cannot get off the mark here. Being out of Irish 1,000 Guineas, Coronation and Nassau Stakes winner Crimplene, Crimson Son has a pedigree that stands out from the majority and it will be very interesting to see how his career develops from now on.
