Whirlijig and Bessie Lou have both shown a decent level of form in their recent starts and both have to be respected but it is hard to get away from INTERDIAMONDS and she looks the one to be on. Mark Johnston's filly has found one too good in each of her two starts so far, latterly behind Racing Hero in a better contest than this over course and distance earlier this month, and a reproduction of the form shown that day may well suffice. Henry Cecil's Za Za gave little sign of encouragement on her debut and she is hard to recommend after that effort, although it may be too soon to completely write her off. James Fanshawe's Knotgarden is a beautifully bred daughter of Dr Fong and she has to be considered on her debut but lacks the experience of the selection. Alan Swinbank's Whirlijig showed useful form in bumpers before making an encouraging start under Flat racing rules at Hamilton earlier this month and she has to be considered along with Bessie Lou. Kevin Ryan's filly has shown a consistent level of form in her three starts so far but Interdiamonds has an obvious chance and she is preferred.
