Verdict
A tricky opener to begin events at Town Moor. Old Bailey is given the nod after impressing on his debut at Newcastle. He probably found the ground a little too fast at Yarmouth but on this surface, this speedy type will take all the beating. El Coto found the six furlongs at Pontefract to be too far but she was not disgraced in a decent contest. She is consistent enough though and is a previous winner over the trip. Summer Lightning possesses plenty of speed and ran a fair race at Haydock when capitalising on her victory in a Bath seller. She is in receipt of plenty of weight from the principals but whether she truly stays even five furlongs is something of an imponderable.
