Verdict
A seller in all but name to open up proceedings with recent Market Rasen winner, Frazer's Lad heading the weights. He is certainly game enough to land a prize like this but he has gone up seven pounds since that win and hasn't really sparkled at Sedgefield in the past. Up The Clarets would have carried these two years ago but has not shown too much of late. He has dropped down the weights but his connections, as with those of Rayware Boy, would have appreciated some cut in the ground. Thistlekicker looks to have the right credentials to win this race. Far from disgraced in better company of late, he is yet to win off this mark, but he should appreciate the surface and a chance is taken that he can reproduce his recent efforts. Bottomweight, Little Les is respected but he performed disappointingly when well backed off the boards at Hexham last time out. Little Tuska makes his return to hurdling after a couple of years over the chase fences but the ground will be in his favour.
