Top-weight LAYLINE is narrowly selected here but with a shortlist of Saboteur, Layla's Dancer, Mister Angry, Navy List and Sharaayeen, this looks like being one of the top nurseries of late. Ralph Beckett's gelded son of King's Best comes here on the back of a solid effort at Epsom. He didn't seem to handle the track too well, and perhaps even the quicker ground, so he deserves plenty of credit for his effort and although his mark of 91 won't be easy to defy, he must be high on any shortlist. The Godolphin pair of Saboteur and Navy List give the 'Boys In Blue' a strong hand, with both horses coming here on the back of indescribably easy wins. Mister Angry backers may have needed some therapy following his latest run over this course and distance however on this softer ground he is worth another chance. Alrasm drops in class following a two-month break, Whippers Love has done little wrong so far this season, whilst Arlequin may not be badly treated on a mark of 80 if we go by his fair seventh to Coordinated Cut in September. Sharaayeen is another imponderable following a fairly facile Ffos Las success, Dromore has a bit to prove now, whilst Layla's Dancer was a ready winner at Thirsk and a mark of 77 could be lenient. At a price Miniyamba could run well as her best effort came on ground with some cut in at Salisbury, however with the market likely to provide some more clues, it is with some trepidation that we select Layline.
