      Verdict

Unless any of the newcomers proves to be out of the ordinary, this should go to one of the trio to have raced previously with the vote going to Ajigolo over Original Source and Soto. The last mentioned, a maiden winner at Southwell, has struggled in better company since then and is probably best watched now, while Original Source finished last of 11 in the July Stakes on his only start since making a winning debut at Hamilton and is difficult to evaluate. Mark Johnston's Prince of Light is bred to be useful but the stable does not have many first time out two-year-old winners and of more interest among the newcomers may be Bryan Smart's Danehill Dancer colt Belpasso. Daaweitza makes limited appeal on pedigree and the vote goes to Ajigolo. Mick Channon's colt stepped up on his debut effort when landing a Salisbury maiden on his next start and has run with credit since then. A reproduction of his best form would make Ajigolo tough to beat.
