Molotov holds solid claims in a seemingly impossible race for backers to solve having shown a return to form at Beverley last time; however, he had the benefit of a decent draw that day and American Cousin may reverse the form here, with Proud Western rated the best of the remainder. The selection ran well from a middle draw at Beverley but is much better berthed here and with the stable's sprinters in such good form he looks worth a small interest. Largs ran well from a terrible draw in another race at Beverley last time and has to be respected on that evidence, if he can repeat the form of that effort on his second outing back on turf. Rae Guest's Maluti has a difficult looking draw to overcome and of more interest may be Danakim, who has claims on the form shown at Brighton last time. The 10-year-old Torrent remains 3lbs higher in the weights than when last successful on turf more than a year ago, while the three-year-old Silver Dane remains a maiden. Levelled does not win very often these days and of more interest may be Proud Western, who is closely matched with the selection on running at Musselburgh in May but has not shown much since then. American Cousin has though and he is marginally preferred.
